However, knowing our areas of talent is not enough. We need help to better understand these talents, how to develop them into strengths, and how to leverage those strengths toward more effective work and a more fulfilling life. Focusing on strengths has been shown to have tremendous positive effects on employee engagement, quality of life, and wellbeing, and empowers employees to provide better support for those they serve. Using this assessment within a team or organization also helps groups examine their dynamics, explore how individual strengths contribute to the team’s success, and open opportunities for greater collaboration.

This introductory workshop covers the foundations of the CliftonStrengths assessment, explores the concepts of talent, strength and weakness, and introduces a strengths-based approach to development. Emphasis is on identification and ownership of talent themes and application to individuals’ areas of responsibility.
This intermediate workshop builds on the principles covered in the introductory workshop by going deeper into the talents and strengths of the team, department, or organization. We’ll explore the advantages of strengths-based partnerships and identify existing and potential partnerships that create synergy. We’ll discuss the talent mix of the team and examine the team’s strengths and potential areas of conflict or tension. By looking at how the team gets work done, we’ll help the group identify next steps toward becoming a strengths-based team.
